I have a face. I even plan “to take it out” one of these nights, to paint the town red. It is nothing special, I know, although there are a few who would contradict me. It is refreshing to know there is somebody who might against all odds think that. Anyway, I am posting this to meet half way someone who was saying that he is surprised to see how things in Romania lack a face. He supposed it had to do with identity being (not) assumed. He might be right. But being Top Dog is about an imaginary world, letting a lot to you, and at the same time to me. Interpretation makes the reader, and not vice versa.

During communist times they used to play a series on TV, called Shadows and Lights. Obviously about the communist resistance during the Second World War. They wanted to say a few things about contrast, I guess, and that one cannot see the good unless you have the bad, that appearances can be misleading. Beyond communism, now obsolete, the principle remains in photography.

Woke up and then lived with the impression I was solving things. Some feel-good moments too. Among them an exchange of emails with a new friend, an exchange of emails and some pictures from an old friend. I bet she wouldn’t like to be called old, but I am not referring to her age. Though of a new blog with pictures from friends. An unexpected IM. Completed my list of presents I hope to get.

Silver is for chambermaids, my neighbour next door used to tell us her mother’s words, after admiring my silver ring. Before and in the meanwhile I made a passion for silver, independently. I have learnt that is good to have a mind of your own. And that you should listen, but that you don’t need to find meaning nor intention in all you hear. Words are part of a wider context.
