The play last night
The Memorable Quotes from The Shape of Things are taken from imdb.com. Believe it or not some were better in Romanian than in the original. Good translation job? Maybe. I especially enjoyed the final scene with the argument over what art is.
Phillip: I begged you to throw out the farm coat freshman year, I mean, you’ve lost both of us a lot of dates with that that thing on! You’ve had it since, birth, OK, so do me a favor and let’s not pretend that the jacket and the, ahh, weight and the Bon Jovi hair are no big deal. For a while no picture called for my attention, at least I could hear no cry. At times like this everything seems to go nowhere fast, or rather that nothing is going to get anywhere. Like a statue on the brink of the water fountain.
