Off that bunny!

Use you imagination, add the virtual long bunny ears, and this could be the bunny-car. Notice the flat tire on the right, see what’s coming from too much pointy carrots? BTW, this is the funniest thing someone sent me the whole past week.  Posted by Picasa

Every ceiling has a silver lining

This must be like the worst picture ever in the history of this blog. A picture that needs explaining generally is. But this picture is very dear to my heart. I have just taken it to illustrate yet another chapter in the life and sufferings of the Romanian block-of-flats inhabitant. Those who know what I am talking stop reading.

Once upon a time there was the neighbour upstairs. S/he had a pipe / faucet / central heating etcetera that was so old and sad and lonely that one day couldn’t take it anymore and it broke. The water started running and down the walls, the floors and all the rest, there was nothing that could keep it together, could stop it, until the neighbour downstairs nervously rang the door, called the plumber and the like. Being caught between a rock and a hard place, actually between a very present neighbour and a very absent one, you tried to cope. Moping the floors, moving furniture, placing pots and pans under the dripping ceiling, calling 112 ( EN), making friends with the administrator and the president - these are two characters I might describe lengthily at a later time.

There is nothing like a timely-timed flooding, early enough to allow for some sort of solution - solution, that is somehow not the proper word here, but I’ll just go with the flow, oops, another one! so to speak. I won’t even be late for work. But the sweetest hours of my sleep are gone. I love Tuesday’s, don’t you?  Posted by Picasa

Part two (returns)

“You looked like a punk, but you were saying the right things, it was such a contrast.” My boyfriend. Should I dump him?! I love him, when he doesn’t get on my nerves.

“Were you wearing make-up? You looked 25.” My girlfriend. Girlfriend, I was also talking in my squeaky voice. Have I fooled anyone?

“You showed class to all so called intellectuals on the set”. My cousin. There was no competition. And I love you too.

“Oh, and you were using pause for more effect”. Pinocchio. Absolutely! I talk a lot for a man of a few words.

“Before this movie I had a deformed perception on what was happening. I could not imagine something like this really goes on”. A friend from a previous work place. No comment.

Oh! No title, he realized, but it was too late, really late

Where do I start? Have you seen me on TV?

I have been busy collecting feedback on that - where are all the thoughts, and speculations, and words that filled my head just a moment ago? I was going to make an intro starting on yesterday’s bench in the park. Have you ever noted how the light is different under a floweraged tree? But under a hundred? I had no contact with all these people roaming the alleys, totally isolated, ear pieces on, music almost screaming because the spring was screaming. Feeling good. Not much reason either, but so is spring, unreasonable. See the crazy old bitch strolling furiously, her little dog at a leash’s length? You know the kind, it’s the one Hollywood movies feature as an aliens’ host on Earth. Then the auntie who likes to discipline the one and a half year old poshly dressed kid for wanting to leap over the little fence and play in the dirt, like the other kids. Also the mother-grandmother-one-cannot-tell with the shy toddler hiding her face behind her tiny hands, and looking from behind, then unexpectedly racing her way to the other end of the park. All these people who didn’t know about my worries, debts and growing to do list. They were out in the sun, I was condemned. Momentary damnation of bureaucracy, the return to my desk.

Had I written this the other day, when I was filled with positive energies, there would’ve been other words. But I didn’t. I was busy analyzing.

In brief, I have been here, actually here, to present this. I was seated next to her, and she is as sweet and true as it gets. Everybody likes her. On the other hand, although we were seated a few chairs away, she is also very nice (I know, Mitzi already said it, I sound so hetero!). She has invited me to her premiere on Friday. And thanks to everybody who’s been watching. Messages have been pouring in, and I really felt the support and appreciated what you had to say. I hope it was worth it, otherwise most of the time I find it difficult to explain accurately what I have to put up with at work.  Posted by Picasa

This is not a collage

Just a reminder for those holding the tail of the elephant, access to details does not mean access to the whole. Even if it looks like it’s not the same thing, it might be the same thing. Switch on the light, get organized.  Posted by Picasa
