The monster was sleeping. So lame

I have to report that at the time I wanted to take the photo to become my Christmas card this year, at around 12:30 tonight, the amazing piece of metal (s)crap was totally plugged off. In other words Europe’s largest Christmas tree is a cheap commercial that unlike the other commercials in Bucharest’s Union Square goes off line when there is no one left to see, pretty much like Cinderella after midnight. Only that Cinderella was nice.
Nunmai de ar t?cea ?i n-ar cînta din to?i r?runchii! ?i f?r? pijamale. A?a c? suprinde-le devreme.
I also hear that people were left in the dark, because the monster has caused power outages. Methinks power generators…
It’s probably to expensive.. I red an article in “Academi Catavencu” and they calculate that keeping it running 5 hours/night, for 30 and something days, would cosy 400.000 Euros…
anybody in advertising in Bucharest would tell you 400,000 could be an OK, smallish budget. Just remember a thirty second TV spot can be a couple of thousands euros. For one broadcast! So.
