Writing, setting the house on fire

You know you’re too much into writing, when you set to work, put the kettle to boil, as tea helps your creative juices, and the next thing you know your house smells like there is an arson in the neighborhood. Well, it’s the kettle, since all the water has evaporated. You should know better.

It’s not the first time. I need supervison. This used to be mom and dad and later in life, my boyfriend(s).

Valentine’s deeds

As you all know, and if you don’t, well you should, this Friday was a Friday 13. Also, the day just before Valentine. Given the financial crisis I had to check the effects. The signs were clear.

We landed in Sinaia, where Andressa’s readership went up here. Documented the fact with photos.

Moved on to Peles Castle. Deeply recommend the extented tour. I was impressed with both guides in English. Both girls. Maybe there is still hope for Romanian tourism, and services.

Stopped to Pelisor. Maria’s Chamber in Gold is really something unique. Go visit, as in 2010 Pelisor will become the summer residence for the royal family, and…

Finally, we stopped in Bran just in time to find that the Castle was closed for visitation, due to the winter schedule.

So back he hopped. Literally, since the road near Mioveni, you know, where they make cars, was the best Moon surface reprezentation on Earth.

Black from Berlin

It’s one of those postings where I am not sure if I have done it before because I have been meaning to do it for too long now. And, surprise, it’s gonna have to actually wait for a later edit too.

Finally, LATER EDIT: back with me, and black, here they are, the Babushka phone case, the Jost leather bag and the baggy pants from Belleville.

Landed in Berlin

Carrot cake versus carrot and chocholate

At 25, I was having questions. Others were having babies.

Onomatopeea

I just love it when meaning adds up randomly.

Reinventing the obvious

One of Berlin’s symbols is the TV tower, here on a foggy day when the fair got in between.

First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin

It’s cold here, and civilized, except for the drunken teenagers people in the subway and the firecrackers in the street.

It’s a good change, I am glad we have all arrived safely in 2009. Thanks for the good wishes, same from me ;)

White

It was a white Christmas. A lot of my RSS feed is unread, but since I have not packed and the plane will be taking off in a couple of hours, you can easily see how I deal with my priorities.

I leave you with the remains of 2008. The New Year is going to be tough and interesting, I know it, and I am looking forward to 2010, which is supposedly my year. So, all the best to all of us ;)
